Shelter Island Photography – Nina + Christian – 5.8.2016

Shelter Island is a magical place.  It is the only place that I have been where it is peaceful and beautiful all year round. I am lucky to now call this oasis home.

If you have been on Long Island these past few weeks you know that there hasn’t been much in the way of sunshine. After having cancelled once due to rain and waiting another week for the sun to show it’s face, we decided to just accept the overcast day and make the best of it.  Who needs sun for bright, happy photos!

Cherry  blossoms, red pilings and smiling faces brought life to these photos on gloomy day.

After we took a few shots with the cherry blossoms at a park in The Heights,  we headed over to a dock at The Pridwin Hotel (Nina and Christian will be holding their reception there).

We had a great time, Nina and Christian were more relaxed in front of the camera then they let on. 

Shelter Island really does have some wonderful hidden locations that only the locals know about. This one below is proof of that.
